Common LG Problems
LG refrigerators usually show a fault code rather than leaving you to guess. If the display is blank, hold ICE PLUS and FREEZER for about two seconds to bring up a stored code. 88 means the unit sees no fault. FF and rF point to frost on a fan, which LG's manual defrost often clears. CF, CH and CL are condenser or refrigerant faults that need a certified technician.
LG Safety & Repair Guidance
LG publishes different code tables for French Door, Side-by-Side, Bottom Freezer and Top-Freezer models, so check the code against your model type first. For codes LG marks as service-required, there's no official DIY fix.
